Rainbow Moonstone Pendant in Sterling Silver, Portal Cut, Blue Flash, One of a Kind

This pendant features a hand-cut rainbow moonstone with a strong blue flash that appears as it moves through the light.

At rest, the stone is soft and translucent. As the angle shifts, a vivid blue glow emerges from within, giving the piece a sense of depth and movement that doesn’t read in a single glance.

The stone measures approximately 10.5 × 12 mm and is set in solid sterling silver.

This piece introduces my “Portal Cut” — a combination of raw, cabochon, and faceted surfaces shaped to work with the natural structure of the stone rather than forcing it into a standard geometry. The result is a surface that catches and releases light differently across each plane.

The setting is built as an open lattice structure that allows light to enter from multiple directions while securely holding the stone. The form follows the contours of the gem, creating a balance between structure and openness.

Each surface of the silver has been refined by hand so that highlights and shadows shift subtly as the pendant moves.
