Portal Cut Pink Tourmaline Ring – Hand Cut Gemstone – Sterling Silver – One of a Kind – Size 8.5

At the center of this ring is a vivid pink tourmaline with strong color and internal depth.

The stone shows saturated raspberry to red tones, with natural inclusions that catch and scatter light. It has a bold presence, but the character reveals itself more as it moves.

This stone was cut using my portal cut approach. The top is faceted, while the body of the stone follows the original contours of the rough rather than being forced into a standard geometry.

Instead of presenting a single surface, the stone reveals layers within it. As light moves through the interior, you begin to see into the stone rather than just across it.

The inclusions and natural structure become part of the experience, creating variation, depth, and a shifting internal landscape that changes with angle and light.

The tourmaline measures approximately 15mm x 14mm and is set in solid Sterling Silver. An open gallery allows light to pass through the stone, enhancing its depth and movement.

The band features a sculptural lattice structure that has been individually refined and burnished by hand. Raised edges catch the light, while recessed areas create contrast and depth. The surface carries a soft satin texture that supports the stone without competing with it.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece. I sourced and cut the stone and completed all finishing work myself; only the casting process was outsourced.
