A naturally shaped red spinel glows like an ember from within this one-of-a-kind 14k yellow gold ring.

I cut the stone to preserve its irregular character, then designed the setting around its exact shape. The raised head allows light to enter from multiple directions and gives the ring a more architectural profile, while the open lattice band adds detail without distracting from the stone.

Depending on the light, the spinel shifts from deep wine red to vivid crimson and glowing orange-red.
