A little Montana Sapphire that seems to glow from within.

I cut this naturally included sapphire myself, preserving the unusual internal character that first attracted me to the stone.

Its color can change dramatically with the light. In some conditions it appears cool green with hints of blue, while stronger light can illuminate the center with striking yellow and golden tones. The stone is filled with natural internal textures that become part of the visual effect rather than something I tried to cut away.

I designed the sterling silver setting specifically around the finished sapphire and antiqued the silver to emphasize the organic structure surrounding it. Bright polished edges and prongs contrast with the darker recessed areas, while the open construction allows the stone to be viewed from several angles.

The back of the sapphire was intentionally left exposed. Turn the pendant over and you can see the rough, textured surface that remains from the original stone.

I cut the stone, digitally design the setting around it, and personally perform the finishing, antiquing, polishing and stone setting.
