This ring features a hand cut Montana sapphire set in a one-of-a-kind sterling silver setting. The stone was cut to follow the natural character of the rough, resulting in subtle variations that reflect the material rather than forcing symmetry. The girdle was left intact, preserving the original natural outline of the stone. The sapphire was cut with a low profile to preserve color and maximize its face-up presence on the hand.

The setting was designed specifically for this (10.5mm x 11.5mm) ~5.2 carat sapphire, with the structure shaped to support and protect the stone while allowing light to interact with its surface and internal texture. No molds or stock settings were used. This ring exists as a single finished piece and will not be reproduced.
The silver band includes fine structural detailing and was finished by hand. The overall form emphasizes material, proportion, and durability over ornament.
