Hand Cut Watermelon Tourmaline Pendant in 10k Rose Gold | One of a Kind Necklace | Open Back Gemstone

This one-of-a-kind pendant centers on a hand-cut watermelon tourmaline set in solid 10k rose gold.

This pendant changes with the light. What appears deep green and violet in one moment can reveal flashes of pink, blue, and rose when worn against the skin.

Rather than cutting away the natural character of the stone, I shaped it to preserve the internal landscape that makes this piece unique. Shades of green, violet, rose, and blue move through the crystal, shifting noticeably as light passes through it.

The pendant is built around an open-backed structure that allows light to enter from multiple directions. Because of this, the stone can appear dramatically different depending on its environment. Against skin, additional color and depth emerge that are difficult to see in studio photographs alone.

The setting was designed specifically for this stone. The sculptural rose gold frame follows the irregular outline of the tourmaline while remaining visually light and open. The stone appears suspended within the structure rather than buried beneath metal.

I cut the stone, designed the setting, and completed the finishing work myself.

No two stones like this exist, and this pendant cannot be duplicated.
