This one-of-a-kind ring features a hand-cut tourmaline set in sterling silver.
I selected the rough tourmaline, cut the stone, designed the setting, and completed the finishing work in my studio. Every aspect of the ring was created specifically around this individual gemstone.
The tourmaline displays rich raspberry and magenta tones with visible crystal growth structure preserved within the stone. Rather than hiding its geological origins, the cut allows the natural character of the crystal to remain visible, creating depth, texture, and shifting patterns throughout the gem.
The setting was designed as an architectural framework around the stone, creating a dialogue between the tourmaline's natural irregularity and a structured form that both supports and showcases it.
