Montana Sapphire Ring Hand Cut Solitaire in Sterling Silver, item 1008

This is a newly redesigned one-of-a-kind ring that features a hand-cut Montana sapphire, set in a sculptural sterling silver setting designed specifically for the stone.

Each piece is created start to finish in my studio, including sourcing the rough sapphire, cutting the stone, designing the setting, and finishing the final piece.

The sapphire measures approximately 9mm x 11.5mm (about 5 carats) and was cut to follow the natural shape of the original rough. The girdle was intentionally left intact, preserving the stone’s original outline and giving it a unique, organic character. The low-profile cut enhances the stone’s color and allows it to sit comfortably on the hand while maximizing its visual presence.

The setting was digitally designed and custom created for this specific stone, with the structure shaped to support and protect it while allowing light to interact with its surface and internal texture. No stock settings or pre-made components were used. This ring is truly one of a kind and will not be reproduced.
