Hand-cut Montana sapphire set in a one-of-a-kind sterling silver ring, created from start to finish in my studio.
I source each sapphire and cut the stone myself. The setting is designed specifically for that individual stone, then cast and finished in my studio. I set each stone by hand and complete all final finishing myself. No stock settings or pre-made components are used.
This sapphire was cut to follow the natural character of the rough, resulting in subtle variations that reflect the material rather than forcing symmetry. The original outline of the stone has been preserved, allowing its natural form to remain intact.
The stone shows layered color, shifting between deep green and blue depending on the light. Natural inclusions create depth and movement within the sapphire, giving it a more dimensional, atmospheric quality rather than a flat surface appearance.
The setting was designed specifically for this stone, measuring approximately 7.5 x 6.5 mm. The structure supports and protects the sapphire while allowing light to interact with its surface and internal texture.
The sterling silver band was finished by hand and includes fine structural detailing. It tapers from approximately 3 mm to 2 mm. The overall form emphasizes strength, proportion, and long-term wearability.
This ring is one of a kind. Only one exists.
