Blue Green Tourmaline Pendant, Hand Cut Stone in Sterling Silver

This one-of-a-kind pendant is built around a hand-cut tourmaline with a deep blue-green tone and strong natural internal structure.

Rather than bright commercial saturation, this stone has a quieter depth. Depending on the lighting, it shifts between teal, sea-green, and cooler shadowed blue tones. Internal textures and inclusions catch light throughout the stone, giving it a layered, atmospheric appearance.

I cut the stone first, then designed and finished the setting around its shape and character. The open sculptural setting allows light to move through the stone from multiple directions while keeping the piece balanced and wearable.

While the face of the stone was cut and polished, the original crystal shape remains along the sides of the tourmaline. The setting was designed to preserve and frame those natural surfaces rather than remove them completely.

The sterling silver structure wraps around the tourmaline without fully enclosing it, creating an airy framework that supports the stone while still letting its internal depth remain visible.

This stone is not eye-clean. Visible internal structure is part of what gives the pendant its character and movement.
